ABOUT ME AND THIS SITE

Hi! I’m Tricia Nelson from Crystal Springs. I love writing, history, genealogy, travel, and photography. I’m a member of several historical and genealogical organizations and have traveled a lot – across the state, nation, and internationally. I write feature articles as a freelance writer for the Copiah Monitor – a local newspaper which recently combined The Meteor (Crystal Springs) and The Courier (Hazlehurst)) in Copiah County, Mississippi. I have a strong background in legal research and a masters degree in Historic Preservation – combined they give me the skills to research and write and you get the benefit with this blog! I get to share my information with you! If you have local pictures and/or information to share, send them to me at Copiah360@gmail.com. I hope you enjoy these posts as I take you on a journey through Copiah County, exploring people, places, and events – some you may know, some you may not, but all meant to peak your interest in our wonderful county!
